Although I had the opportunity to visit Troy, Pergamum, and Ephesus in Eastern Aegean coast during the late 1980s, my initial experience was overshadowed by the political climate of that era. However, over the years, Turkey has grown on my list of favorite travel destinations, particularly after spending some time in Dalyan and Istanbul.
