State Visits: My Journey Across America and India

As someone who loves exploring new places, my travel adventures have taken me across a wide range of states in both America and India. In this article, I'll share my recent travels and state visits, highlighting the states I've visited this year and the places I hope to explore more in the future.

USA: My Recent State Visits in 2023

The year 2023 has seen me visiting four states in America. These states include Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, and Washington State. I live in one of these states - Vermont - and my family is in another, which is Washington State. Despite being busy with work, I manage to keep a record of the states I've visited and the ones I hope to explore soon.

Vermont - I've lived here for several years and there's always something new to explore in this beautiful state. New Hampshire - Known for its scenic beauty and charming small towns, a visit here is always enriching. New York - From the iconic Empire State Building to the serene Adirondacks, New York offers a lot to see and do. Washington State - The tech hub and natural beauty of this state are hard to resist, making it a favorite for me.

My goal for the next few months is to pick up 5 more states. My plans are as follows:

In a week or so, I aim to visit Alaska, a state where I also live but have yet to explore adequately. Another month later, I plan to visit Oklahoma, Kansas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

As for states I have visited before, here's a list of the ones I might revisit or explore more deeply:

California - A state that never ceases to amaze with its diversity and attractions. Massachusetts - Known for its rich history and cultural landmarks. Illinois - Notable for its significant historical and cultural sites. Texas - A hub for Texan cuisine and cowboy culture. Washington DC - The nation's capital, home to museums, monuments, and politics.

Alaska: A State of Significance

I was born in Alaska, which is a state that holds a special place in my heart. It's not just a place where I've lived, but where my life began. For those who may not know, I can proudly say that my birth certificate states I was born in Alaska.

Living in Alaska for the past few years, I've managed to find my roots and connect with my heritage. While I have visited other states many times over the years, Alaska remains unique in its significance.

Traveling in India: A Rich Tapestry of States and Union Territories

Having a background in India, I've had the opportunity to visit numerous states and Union Territories. I have a particular connection with the northern and western parts of the country.

Telangana - My birth place and where I lived for 25 years. Andhra Pradesh - Where my parents were born. Karnataka - The place where I started my career. Maharashtra - I have visited this state with friends and family, and it offers a blend of urban charm and rural beauty. Tamil Nadu - Known for its rich cultural heritage and contributions to Indian cinema, literature, and music. Madhya Pradesh - Home to Bhopal and Indore, cities with a rich history and cultural significance. Rajasthan - Dholpur, a city known for its historical sites and forts. Haryana - Including Rohtak, Faridabad, Ambala, and Panipat, these cities offer a glimpse into the heart of northern India. Punjab - Where I worked, known for its rich Punjabi culture, history, and cuisine. Himachal Pradesh - Originally visited with bachelors' classmates, offering stunning natural landscapes and adventure sports. Uttar Pradesh - Known for its rich history, especially in Bijnor and Ghaziabad, and as the birthplace of many famous personalities. Jammu and Kashmir - Where I visited Vaishnodevi, a significant pilgrimage site for Hindus. Goa - A beautiful coastal state known for its beaches and Portuguese influence. Kerala - Home to Munnar and Kochi, offering a serene backdrop with its coffee plantations and backwaters.

Among the Union Territories, I have visited:

New Delhi - The capital of India. Chandigarh - A planned city with modern architecture and stunning landscapes. Pondicherry - Known for its French colonial influence and vibrant culture.

With a growing list of states within the USA and a rich tapestry of states and Union Territories in India, my travel adventures continue to be an enriching experience. Each state and Union Territory offers its unique culture, history, and natural beauty, making every visit memorable and worthwhile.
