Personal Insights from a Long-Term Resident
I’ve lived and worked here for 4 years and I love it more every day. Seriously, as a guest, it really depends on what you enjoy. Hiking, camping, photography, finding quiet spots, or even looking up at the night sky for stargazing – Yosemite offers a lot of things to do. What you might consider the best depends on your own interests.
My Personal Day Trip Experience
Remember my day with a friend back in college? We started with a bike ride, taking the 7-mile length of the Valley. I took him on a short climb up El Capitan, and when it got too hot, we took a refreshing swim in the Merced River. We hiked up to Vernal Falls, and while I had to head off to work, we covered the major activities in the Valley. Now, parking is a real challenge, and the park is much more crowded.
Whatever your preferences, Yosemite is a perfect destination for a day trip. Whether you're an adventure seeker, a nature lover, or simply looking for a peaceful escape, the park offers endless possibilities.
